The Taurus Full Moon in the Southern Hemisphere is in Spring, which is very appropriate given that Uranus is conjunct the Moon and trine Ceres in Capricorn. And even if you aren’t in the Southern hemisphere, the Uranus involvement in this Full Moon will insure there is a collective shift from the past (the Moon), all part of the evolutionary trajectory we are experiencing as we arrive into the Aquarian age, and then there’s Pluto just days away from re-entering Aquarius, where it will now settle for around the next twenty years.
There is also an important kite-pattern in this chart. The ongoing opposition of Mars and Pluto, the effects of which will continue on-and-off until the end of December, into early January and again in mid April for a few weeks, are strong; and can actually give us strength too.
This opposition is currently part of the Grand trine which consists of the Sun, Mars, North Node and Neptune. The Full Moon and North Node and Neptune involvement takes it to another level of massive collective soul learning experience, for all life and Gaia herself. (Uranus in Taurus too).
Are we being challenged to question the way we have been living on this planet, instead of with her?
(Aquarius).
I spoke about this opposition in my last article for the Scorpio New Moon, there are several sides to it. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars, and as Mars represents the raw masculine, competitive, combative side of things, Pluto is perhaps showing us that that war is not the answer, instead, a benign use of power can transform and raise collective awareness for us to connect and act as One, instead of the fragmentation that is happening. The shadow side is being expressed in the ‘us-against-them’ division that seems to be showing up in all its more destructive and volatile forms as the neo-capitalist, patriarchal domain collapses in on itself exposing the injustices and corruption so common at the end of some of the greatests civilisations.
The current trine part of this Kite pattern consists of the Sun, Mars, Neptune and the North Node, aka the Dragon’s Head. Neptune softens and moderate the harshness of the Mars/Pluto opposition, perhaps almost alchemically raising it into the possibility of a quantum leap into Cosmic Consciousness, moments of Universal consciousness and yes, Oneness. Through kindness, compassion and open-heartedness we can move through this together in our communities, on a grass-roots level at least.
The division emerging between the so-called ‘tech-bros’ and those of us wanting life on this planet to continue, can be dissolved with Love, the higher octave of Neptune.
